At the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the golden age of Athens: the Propylaea, the temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “brings order to the mind” , the Parthenon.

The tour will end by visiting the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum, “state of the art” in museum construction and very rich in content.

Day 3ATHENS – DELPHI - METEORA

Drive through the spectacular sites on the fertile Boeotian plain, crossing the cities of Thebes, Levadia and reaching Arachova. Then in Delphi located on the slopes of the impressive Mount Parnassus. Delphi was the center of the ancient world – the Omphalos (navel of the earth) – whose prestige extended far beyond the limits of the Hellenic world.

On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of incomparable beauty and majesty, are the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pitios.

Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture such as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Departure to Kalambaka, a small town located at the foot of the amazing Meteora complex, gigantic rocks. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4METEORA - ATHENS

Meteora is one of the largest and most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece, second only to Mount Athos. Amid breathtaking scenery, perched on top of massive rocks that seem to be suspended in midair, are ageless monasteries, where exquisite specimens of Byzantine art can be seen.

The six monasteries are built on rocky pillars of natural sandstone, on the northwestern edge of the Thessalian plain near the Pineios River and the Pindus Mountains, in central Greece.

The Meteora is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the Leonida monument). Arrival in Athens early in the evening.
