This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (shortstop).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continue and pass by the Prime Minister\u2019s residence (ex \nRoyal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the \nTemple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian\u2019s Arch, the Parliament and the \nmemorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the \nNational Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis \nvisit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The \nPropylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally \u201cthe \nharmony between material and spirit\u201d, the monument that \u201cputs an order \nin the mind\u201d, the Parthenon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tour will end by visiting the Acropolis and the new \nAcropolis Museum, \u201cState of the art\u201d in museum construction and very \nrich in content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the city tour, we will meet and take you to a very\n pleasant afternoon tour 65km out of Athens. Drive along the coastal \nroad, pass by the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza \nto the most southern point of Attica, Cape Sounion, where the white \nmarble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. On the way, you have a \nsplendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore. After\n visiting the Temple of Poseidon, located on the edge of the peninsula, \nyou have time to walk at leisure on the rocky promontory of Sounion or \nhave refreshment at the nearby cafeteria<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDAY 3: ATHENS \u2013 EPIDAURUS \u2013 MYCENAE \u2013 ANCIENT OLYMPIA<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leave by the Coastal Road to the Corinth Canal (shortstop). Drive on \nand visit Epidaurus which was a small city in ancient Greece, at the \nSaronic Gulf. Reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo\u2019s son Asclepius, \nthe healer, Epidaurus was known for its sanctuary, the cult of Asclepius\n at Epidaurus is attested in the 6th century BC.as well as its theatre, \nwhich is once again in use today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Sanctuary of Asklepios at Epidaurus is a UNESCO world heritage site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The theatre is marvelled for its exceptional acoustics, which permits\n almost perfect intelligibility of non-amplified spoken word from the \nproscenium or scene to all 15,000 spectators, regardless of their \nseating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then proceed to the Town of Nauplion ( short stop) drive\n on to Mycenae. and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of \nAgamemnon. Departure for Olympia Through Central Peloponnese Overnight \nin Olympia, the Cradle of the Olympic Games at the selected hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDAY 4: OLYMPIA \u2013 WINE TASTING \u2013 IOANNINA<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the morning we will visit the archaeological site and\n the Museum of Ancient Olympia. Olympia was a sanctuary of ancient \nGreece, known for having been the site of the Olympic Games in classical\n times, the most famous games in history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sanctuary, known as the Altis, consists of an unordered \narrangement of various buildings. Enclosed within the temenos are the \nTemple of Hera (or Heraion\/Heraeum) and Temple of Zeus, the Pelopion and\n the area of the altar, where the sacrifices were made. The Hippodrome \nand later stadium were also to the east.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To the north of the sanctuary can be found the Prytaneion and the \nPhilippeion, as well as the array of treasuries representing the various\n city-states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Olympia is also known for the gigantic ivory and gold \nstatue of Zeus that used to stand there, sculpted by Pheidias, which was\n named one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World by Antipater of \nSidon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that, we will visit a famous winery to see how the\n wine was made the old times and how they make it in nowadays. We will \nhave the opportunity to taste some of the local wines together with \nlocal Greek meze. Will have lunch in a nice restaurant in Amaliada and \nthen travel to Ioannina passing from the new bridge of Rion \u2013 Antirion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We arrive in Ioannina for overnight at the selected hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDAY 5: IOANNINA \u2013 PAPINGO VILLAGES \u2013 VRELIS MUSEUM<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will spend the day visiting Vrelis Museum of \nGreek History and Wax Effigies with impressing figures like being alive \nand ready to talk to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The village of Papingo proper is surrounded by \nsnowcapped mountains in winter, and also has provisions for lodging as \nwell as tavernas serving up traditional Greek food, coffee, and spirits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will take photos and feel like being very close\n to the sky as we see the area from this very high point. Every place \nand every moment seems to be unique and also welcoming you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will also visit the neighbouring Vikos Gorge that \nattracts many hikers and mountaineers from around the world. The Vikos \nGorge is the largest canyon in Greece and (disputably) in all of Europe:\n it has the greatest depth to width ratio \u2013 as shown in the Guinness \nBook of Records 1997.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDAY 6: IOANNINA \u2013 PAMVOTIS LAKE \u2013 PERAMA CAVE \u2013 METSOVO \u2013 METEORA<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After breakfast, we will take a small drive to lake Pamvotis commonly also known as Lake of Ioannina, the largest lake of Epirus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We say goodbye to Ioannina and drive to Perama Cave located\n 4km outside the city on your way to Metsovo. It is the first cave in \nGreece to undergo touristic development. The cave extends over 14.000 \nsq. m. Here scientists found teeth of cave bears. The cave has \nstalactites and stalagmites and was dedicated to Pluto and Persephone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The touristic route goes downhill at its beginning and uphill at its \nend and covers a distance of 1.100 m. The tour lasts approximately 45 \nminutes. The guides of the cave will welcome us at its entrance and will\n make sure to give us complete information about this exhibition of \nnatural artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that, we will drive to Kalambaka with a stop in \nMetsovo for lunch. We arrive in Kalambaka for overnight at the selected \nhotel. Tonight we will admire the sunset on the top of Meteora rocks and\n have dinner in a local taverna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDAY 7: METEORA \u2013 DELPHI<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After breakfast, we will visit the famous Meteora \nMonasteries. Meteora is one of the largest and most important complexes \nof Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece, second only to Mount Athos. \nAmong striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be \nsuspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see \nexquisite specimens of Byzantine art. The six monasteries are built on \nnatural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of\n Thessaly near the Pineios river and the Pindus Mountains, in central \nGreece. The Meteora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following our visit, we will drive to Ancient Delphi \npassing from the town of Trikala and Amfisa. We arrive at Delphi for \naccommodation at the selected hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDAY 8: DELPHI \u2013 ATHENS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After breakfast, we will visit the archaeological site of Ancient Delphi and the museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Delphi was the centre of Ancient World \u2013 the \u201cOmphalos\u201d \n(Navel of Earth) \u2013 whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of \nthe Hellenic World.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled \nbeauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of \nApollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek \nsculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then we will drive back to Athens via Levadia city. We arrive in Athens early in the evening for overnight at the selected hotel<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DAY 9: ATHENS \u2013 SANTORINI<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the indicated time you will be transferred to \nthe Athens airport for your flight to Santorini or to Piraeus port for \nyour ferryboat to Santorini. Upon your arrival, you will be met and \ntransferred to your hotel hotel<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDAY 10: SANTORINI \u2013 VOLCANO CRUISE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today\n enjoy a half day cruise to the small islands of Nea Kameni & Palea \nKameni located inside the caldera, the Hot Springs with the green and \nyellow waters (with free time for swimming) and the island of Thirassia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Vlyhada marina.
\nOrientation with the boat and sailing on the south coast of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will pass near the red and white beaches and continue\n sailing the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea to the Caldera. Near the\n Nea Kameni (volcano island) we will see the old port and then go to \nPalea Kameni and Thirasia. We will see the hot springs with green and \nyellow waters and have time for swimming here or in another place \ndepending on the season of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We continue sailing below Imerovigli, Firostefani and Fira towns and will arrive in Vlyhada marina.

Santorini was created due to a volcanic eruption culminated \nin the explosion of a volcano caldera, therefore, its rugged landscapes \ndotted with huge cliffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Santorini\u2019s capital, Fira, with white-washed houses, narrow streets \nand open air cafes that cling to a steep cliff, is at the top of the \nbeautiful island where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the bay. \nDiscover Santorini villages that retain their authenticity, with \nbeautiful blue and white buildings and barren volcanic rocks. It is a \nvery fascinating and picturesque island. A magical place that has \nnothing to do with the rest of the Greek islands, a place to spread the \npeaceful and hospitable nature of its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
