ITB-Berlin-ConventionAccording to the latest representative survey by ADAC, 71.2 %  of the population are firmly intent on booking a lengthy holiday trip next year, nearly 6% more than in 2009. Together  with an improving economy in Germany, the nation’s citizens are once more eager to go on trips for several weeks at a time.  Dr. Martin Buck, Director of the Competence Centre Travel & Logistics of Messe Berlin: “Backed by a resurgent economy the tourism industry is picking up speed once again. The worst of the recession is now over and German citizens are again living up to their reputation as the world’s most travelled nation. In this context two categories are emerging: in the first category the principal focus is on the choice of destination, and in the other it is the travel budget that mainly decides where holidays will take place.“
Almost 60 %  of the members polled are planning to take a trip even before the year is out. According to the survey, holiday decisions continue to be strongly influenced by individual economics. Nevertheless, holiday travel has become a priority again, regardless of social class. Thus, 41.1 of those polled who said their economic situation was “bad to very bad” are planning to go on a holiday trip before the end of the year.
More than 50 %  of the members polled believe that package tours, hotels and cruises will become more expensive. In particular, the introduction of an air fare surcharge is expected to raise the cost of chartered flights (63.2 %) and scheduled flights (72 %). 79.1 % expect train fairs to rise in the future.
For Germans, their home country is by far the most popular holiday destination. More than 28 per cent of those polled are planning to take next year’s holidays somewhere between Flensburg and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Italy as a destination ranks second (at marginally over 11 %), followed by Spain (at close to 10 %).

Hi Apostolos:

Nice to hear from you again…
Your service is good and also i like your arrangement and the transfer.
However i really not like the short hours in Santorini. It is not enough to explore Fira and Oia with only 2 hours. I really hope that the Cruise will revise the number of hours stay in Santorini, so that tourist will not be so rush.

Definitely I will recommend my friends for your tour 🙂

Thanks and regards

Hi Apostolos,

We are still excited from our trip.  Greece was beautiful.  We loved the cruise.  It was a great and affordable way to see the Greek Isles.  We tried to fit a lot in on our Euro trip/honeymoon.
It was great to have you meet us and arrange a cab to pick us up at the port once the vacation was over to put a face to the phone calls and emails.  We made our tightly scheduled flight after the cruise with plenty of time to spare.  The cab driver was there waiting for us with our names on a sign.
We want to come back to Santorini especially and spend a full week sometime because the view alone was outstanding.  With all we fit in to our trip, it was nice to have our bags and lodging all in one place for a few days and the travel taken care of for us so we could just relax and catch some sun.  I tell people Turkey was one of the places I was most surprised by.  That was a great stop with the Bazzars, carpet-making, Mary’s house, and the ruins of Ephesus.
All the islands offered something a little different and we loved them all.  Becca trusted me to book everything and surprise her with this trip.
The entire vacation surpassed any dream I had of it.  Thank you so much for your part.
We really appreciate it!
