DAY 1: ATHENS Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure.

 DAY 2:ATHENS Morning sightseeing tour of Athens including all famous monuments: House of Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Adrian’s Arch, Temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Royal Palace, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Tour will end by visiting the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum, “State of the art” in museum construction and very rich in content. On Mondays the new Acropolis Museum is closed
Afternoon free to visit Plaka (The old Athens city) with lots of souvenir shops, restaurants and taverns. .

DAY 3: ATHENS-MYKONOS Early morning transfer to the pier to board the ferry to Mykonos. Upon your arrival on the island, transfer to your selected hotel.

DAY 4: MYKONOS Days at leisure in Mykonos to enjoy the sun, sea & the beauties of this unique island.

 DAY 5: MYKONOS-PAROS Morning transfer to the pier to embark the ferry to Paros. Upon arrival, transfer to your selected hotel.

DAYS 6 & 7: PAROS Days at leisure in Paros, the island with the exquisite sandy beaches in crystal waters, the traditional villages with whitewashed cubic houses in narrow paved alleys contrasted with the many bougainvilleas and lovely chapels. Paros was known in antiquity for its fine marble. The main town is Parikia and one of the most cosmopolitan areas of the island is Naoussa.

  DAY 8: PAROS-SANTORINI In the morning, transfer to the pier to board the ferry to Santorini. Arriving on the island you will be transferred to your selected hotel.

DAYS 9 & 10: SANTORINI Days at leisure at the most breathtaking island. Admire the town of Fira’s white-washed houses, narrow streets and open air cafes that cling to a steep cliff accessible by cable car or mule.
Enjoy a half day cruise (included in the package) to the small islands of Nea Kameni & Palea Kameni located inside the caldera and the Hot Springs with the green and yellow waters.

DAY 11: SANTORINI-ATHENS At the indicated time you will be transferred to the port to embark the ferry boat to Athens. Upon your arrival, transfer to your selected hotel.

  DAY 1: ISTANBUL: Upon your arrival you will be ransferred to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure.

DAY 2: ISTANBUL: After breakfast full day visit to Istanbul. Visits to the outstanding monuments of Ottoman & Byzantine Empires, the Roman Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia (closed on Mondays), Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Soliman the Magnificent Mosque and Grand Bazaar with over 4000 stores. Lunch at local restaurant & back to the hotel at dusk.

  DAY 3: ISTANBUL – BOSPORUS: Short cruise along the Bosphorus, the strait that separates Europe from Asia. Enjoy the view of the wooden villas, marble palaces and ancient fortresses. Landing on the European side & back to hotel.

DAY 4: ISTANBUL – TWO CONTINENTS:  Afternoon departure for the intercontinental bridge of Bosporus,  to continue to the Camlica hill at the Asiatic part of Turkey and view the magnificent Istanbul panoramically. Then visit the Beylerbeyi Palace and a typical fish village along the coast of Bosporus with time at leisure for shopping.

Hagia Sophia Church, Istanbul
Located in Istanbul, it is a legacy made for both Christian and Muslim culture. It was originally a church converted into a mosque by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror. Here, you will see one of the most beautiful architectural designs. The magnificent dome will take your breath away as it is almost 56 meters high and 31 meters in diameter. It was included in UNESCO’s List of World Heritage.
Ephesus, Izmir
Located near the Aegean Sea, it is one of the greatest cities of the Greeks in Asia Minor. It is a sacred site for Christians due to its strong association with biblical figures such as Apostle Paul, John the Baptist and Mary. It is also a tourist attraction for travellers on Mediterranean cruises. It used to be home of the Temple of Artemis which is included in the Seven Wonders of the World.
Chora Church, Kariye Müzesi
Just like Hagia Sophia, Chora Church was also a church that was converted into a mosque. It is one of the most beautiful examples of a Byzantine church. Inside the building is a beautiful interior covered with fine mosaics and frescoes. These paintings are of religious figures such as Mary, Joseph and Moses.
Church of St. Peter, Antakya
 Antakya or Antioch is the place where Peter lived. This small cave church is regarded as the world’s first church where saints named the new religion Christianity. It is believed to be carved by Peter himself. The church also includes pieces of floor mosaics and frescoes.
Pool of Sacred Fish, Urfa
Known as the place where King Nimrod attempted to murder Abraham by throwing him into a furnace. It was believed that with God’s will, fire turned into water and wood turned to carps. Here, you can enjoy the scenic beauty and appreciate the infrastructures that surround it.

DOMINGO: ESTAMBUL: Después del desayuno visita de día entero a la ciudad de Estambul. La región de Sultanahmet, la cisterna de Yerebatan, la Mezquita Azul, e Hipódromo. Visita imprescindible al Gran Bazar para los viajeros para ver las alfombras y kilims, sedas, joyas, cerámica, iconos y artículos de cuero. Almuerzo en un restaurante local. Continuación al Palacio Topkapi y la Mezquita de Küçük Ayasofya. Regreso al hotel.

 LUNES: ESTAMBUL-ANKARA: Salida temprano en autobús hacia Ankara.  Pasaremos por una zona muy fértil y rica en historia, la antigua Bitinia y su capital Nicomedia.  Breve parada en la ciudad romana de Prussias Ad Hippium, que fue la capital de verano del Reinado de Bitinia. Almuerzo. Llegada a Ankara, alojamiento y cena.

MARTES: ANKARA-CAPADOCIA: Tras el desayuno visita en la capital de Turquía, con   destaque el o Mausoleo de Atartuk (Fundador de Turquía moderna) y el Museo de las Civilizaciones de Anatolia, que cuenta con una expresiva colección de hallazgos arqueológicos de Asía Menor, principalmente de los Hititas. Continuación del viaje a Cappadocia pasando por el Lago Salgado. Almuerzo. Llegada a Cappadocia, cena y alojamiento.

 MIÉRCOLES: CAPADOCIA: Desayuno y visita de la espectacular región de Capadócia, única por su fascinante y original paisaje, formado por la lava arrojada por los volcanes Erciyes y Hasan, hace 3 millones de anos. Visita de los numeroso monasterios y capillas de Goreme, excavados en las rocas e decorados con frescos del siglo X (algunos muy bien conservados). Pasaremos por la fortaleza de Uchisar y el valle de Avcilar. Almuerzo y por la tarde visita del pueblo de Avanos, famoso por su artesanía y los valles de Pasabagi y Guvercinlik. Visita de la ciudad subterránea de Kaymakli o Sahatli, una de las 36 ciudades subterráneas de Capadocia que sirvió de refugio para los Cristianos. Regreso al hotel, cena y alojamiento.

JUEVES: CAPADOCIA-KONYA-PAMUKKALE: Salida temprano hacia Konya, capital de los sultanes selyucidos en el siglo XI. Visita del Caravansarai de Sultanhan, donde paraban antiguamente las caravanas de camellos en la ruta de la seda. Visita del Mausoleo de Mevlana, poeta y filosofo que fundo la secta mística y religiosa de los Derviches Danzantes. Almuerzo en la ciudad y continuación del viaje hacia Pamukkale. Llegada, cena y alojamiento.

 VIERNES: PAMUKKALE-ÉFESOS-KUSADASI: Por la mañana, podremos disfrutar de Pamukkale. De camino hacia Kusadasi, conoceremos la antigua Hierapolis, la Necrópolis que contiene más que 150.000 tumbas. Continuación hacia Éfeso ciudad griego-romana, antigua capital de Asia Menor y una de las mejor conservadas de las excavadas hasta hoy donde se encuentran el Templo de Adriano, el Templo de Trajano, el Teatro, la Biblioteca de Celsus, etc. Almuerzo y visita a la Casa de la Virgen María. Traslado al hotel, cena y alojamiento.

SÁBADO: KUSADASI-MARMARIS: Desayuno y salida hacia Marmaris. Enclavado en una bahía, flanqueado montas alfombradas de pinos, Marmaris es uno de los parques marítimos mas atractivos, ideal para practicar deportes acuáticos. Pasamos la noche en Marmaris, a bordo del yate.

 DOMINGO: MARMARIS-EKINCIK-DALYAN: Después el desayuno salimos hacia Ekincik, una bella marina de yates y, en seguida, navegación por el río Dalyan. En lo alto del desfiladero en un meandro del río, encima de la antigua ciudad portuaria de Caunos, se excavaron magníficas tumbas en la roca. Este local también se torno refugio para las famosas tortugas marinas Caretta-Caretta y los cangrejos azules.

LUNES: ADALI-MANASTIR-TERSANE: Tras el desayuno salimos hacia Adali. En seguida a Manastir, donde podremos apreciar parte de las ruinas de un antiguo baño romano en el mar. Continuación a la isla Tersane, famosa por sus ruinas bizantinas y sus antiguos astilleros.

MARTES: LA ISLA ROSA-FETIYE-ESTAMBUL: Desayuno a bordo y tiempo libre para actividades personales. Por la tarde, traslado al aeropuerto de Dalaman para el vuelo con destino a Estambul. Llegada y traslado al hotel seleccionado.

 Thursday: Livorno, Italy: The port city of Livorno in Tuscany is the second largest port in western Italy. The Venice district retains much of its original town planning and architectural features such as the bridges, narrow lanes, the noblemen’s houses and a dense network of canals which once linked the port to its storehouses.
Livorno is your gateway to Florence. The glory of Florence lies in the eminence of its past. Its buildings are masterpieces guarding within more works of art. Some of Florence’s illustrious citizens were Michelangelo, Galileo, Macchiavelli, Dante, Leonardo da Vinci and its renowned rulers, the Medici family.

Friday: Villefranche, France:  The bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer is one of the deepest natural harbours of any port in the Mediterranean Sea. The site has been settled since prehistoric times. The Greeks and later the Romans used the natural harbour as a stop-over en route to the Greek settlements around the Western Mediterranean. The main activity remains tourism with hotels and restaurants employing a sizeable portion of the population. Saint Michael’s Church and Saint Peter’s Chapel are very interesting to visit

 Saturday: Barcelona, Spain: World class museums, fine foods, wines and fashionable shops make Barcelona famous now days. This cosmopolitan city offers a very good combination of ancient history, cosmopolitan port life and beautiful beaches.  Particularly renowned are architectural works of Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner that have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.Our cruise ship will leave the port us at 18:00 for 7 full days of fun and experiences.  This afternoon is a good opportunity to get around and know your ship and the services we provide.

Sunday: At Sea: Enjoy a full day on board, both relaxing and soaking up the sun, reading a good book from the library, running for a prize with one of the quizzes or learning some new Greek dance steps. Start the evening with your favourite cocktail in one of the lounges of on deck and after a delicious dinner; enjoy an international show time, disco and casino.

Monday: Tunis, Tunisia:  Tunisia has for over 3.000 years witnessed the passage of  Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Turks, Spanish and French, each leaving a part of their story in stones, mosaics and on the hills of Carthage. This heritage, has been held in trust and preserved in hundreds of sites and museums as in the vast collections of the prestigious National Museum of Bardo.

 Tuesday: Napoli, Italy: Founded around the 9th century BC as a Greek colony, Naples is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Originally named Parthenope and later Neápolis it was among the foremost cities of Magna Grecia, playing a key role in the merging of Greek culture into Roman society. Naples eventually became part of the Roman Republic as a major cultural center; the prominent Latin poet, Virgil, received part of his education in the city and later resided in its environ

“International tourism hit new records in 2011 despite the challenging conditions,” said UNWTO Secretary-General, Taleb Rifai. “For a sector directly responsible for 5% of the world’s GDP, 6% of total exports and employing one out of every 12 people in advanced and emerging economies alike these results are encouraging, coming as they do at a time in which we urgently need levers to stimulate growth and job creation,” he added.

Despite persistent economic uncertainty, tourist arrivals to Europe reached 503 million in 2011, accounting for 28 million of the 41 million additional international arrivals recorded worldwide. Central and Eastern Europe and Southern Mediterranean destinations (+8% each) experienced the best results. Although part of the growth in Southern Mediterranean Europe resulted from a shift in traffic away from the Middle East and North Africa, destinations in the Mediterranean also profited from improved outbound flows from markets such as Scandinavia, Germany and the Russian Federation.

“Travel facilitation is closely interlinked with tourism development and can be key in boosting demand. This area is of particular relevance in a moment in which governments are looking to stimulate economic growth but cannot make major use of fiscal incentives or public investment,” said Mr. Rifai.
